  • ABSTRACT

  • Currently, the research all over the world is focused on sustainable develop- ment and there has been continuous search for innovative and natural po- tential application which could represent a viable solution for the identifica- tion and design of new pharmacological agents from renewable resources. The natural plant extracts have special properties such as immunmodulating activity with continuously perfectible selectivity and efficiency. Plants and herb extracts have been used since ancient times as traditional medicines in an effective way. Therapeutic properties of plant species bearing traditional heritage still continue to be the subject of many researches. In this work, we have chosen three such traditional species viz. Ecliptaprostrata (Kehraj), Tecomastans(L.) (Yellow Elder) and Rhynchostylis retusa which we tried to analyze and study the properties of the species used as medicinal plants with the help of modern phytochemical tests and UV-visible spectroscopy.
