The Philosophy of Education from the Perspective of Jiddu Krishnamurti -An Analysis

  • Jiddu Krishnamurti was one of the well-known philosophers. The philosophy of education is an interesting area for all philosophers from the Vedic period. Jiddu Krishnamurti is not exception from that. Krishnamurti also shows his deep concern for the education. According to Krishnamurti, true education should provide full freedom to children to express themselves and develop their capabilities. The philosophy of education as advocated by Jiddu Krishnamurti has great relevance in modern India. This paper makes an attempt to analyze his vision of education from all aspects and also discuss about the relevance of his philosophy of education in current education system especially in National Education Policy 2020.
