  • ABSTRACT

  • The objective of this paper is not to seek directly to establish the significance of Dostoevsky’s work in a particular context, but to identify, and to some extent to reformulate, some of the chief problems pertaining to Existentialism with which he contented. This study shows how Dostoevsky provides us with a ground of experience which is necessary for a true account of existence, which other Existential authors could not present. This study concentrates itself on Dostoevsky’s Notes from Underground which explores many existential as well as psychological issues and social chaos.
